Puppentheater Magdeburg / Théâtre de l’Entrouvert / Vélo Théâtre (DE/FR)
Re-member
Duration: 60 Min. | Object theatre, Puppetry | A little German language
For adults and young people from the age of 16
The play brings together the living and the non-living. On stage, people play with branches, tree bark and wooden puppets. Together they celebrate nature and life.
“Re-member” is the result of a collaboration between the Magdeburg Puppet Theatre and the independent theatre artists Élise Vigneron and Julika Mayer.
Inspired by the writings of contemporary thinkers such as Vinciane Despret, Donna Haraway, Anna Tsing and Tim In- gold, the piece scrutinises our relationship to the world of the living and the non-living through the prism of puppetry.
The puppet ensemble from the Magdeburg Puppet Theatre and the five players invite us to a large-scale celebration of the living and the dead. Together they talk about our shared existence and the place of humans in the organic world.
An ode to nature and life.
