DÍRTZTHEATRE (DE/FR)
ShortStories
Duration: 60 Min. | Puppetry, dance and theatre | Short spoken text in German
From the age of 8
Three short stories that combine dance, circus elements and puppetry.
“ShortStories” is a trilogy of short pieces at the intersection of contemporary dance, physical theatre and puppetry. With its physical and organic vocabulary, DÍRTZtheatre invites the audience into a poetic universe in which our notion of reality is shaken in subtle and unexpected ways. Each part of the trilogy creates a different encounter between the human body and a puppet, sensitively revealing themes such as identity, the process of ageing and the question of interdependence in relationships.
“Magnificent art that combines contemporary dance and puppets and from which intense poetic moments emerge thanks to the virtuosity of two circus artists who appear weightless. Their gestures are so precise that it is impossible to distinguish the living body from the object body.” (Elena Philipp – Nachtkritik)
