Talk: Another form of puppet
Encounters between new circus and figur theatre
Duration: 80 Min. | Talk
For adults
“If you let the body speak, if you learn to switch off your head, not to make hasty decisions about what you do on stage, not to limit the body, the puppet, then you realise that the body speaks and the body offers impulses, material, melodies, tempo, dynamics and many other things. The same applies to material. (…) In this sense, the body is just another form of the puppet and at the same time the puppet is just another form of the body.” (Marek Turosik, Accademia Dimitri)
In conversation with circus artists Alexis Rouvre (Alles | Nichts) and Darragh Mc Louhglin (Stickman), theatre scholar Mascha Erbelding explores the newly awakened love between circus and puppet theatre and discusses perspectives for future partnerships.
