FITZ – The Theatre of Animated Forms is one of the European centres for interdisciplinary puppet theatre and, as a partner of free regional, German and international puppet theatre ensembles, has been a formative element of Stuttgart’s culture for almost 40 years. 

The programme includes productions for adults, young people and children of different ages. In addition to the pure play, the FITZ is also involved as a co-producer of promising staging projects, offers residencies for artists and is active in numerous networking projects. With the FITZ, the independent theatre scene has a house that shares artistic risks, enables developments and initiates cooperations. Together with Westflügel Leibzig and Schaubude Berlin, FITZ is a founding member of the “Alliance of International Production Centres for Figure Theatre” (www.allianz-figurentheater.de).
